Equinox Pride Campaign

Equinox has long been a supporter of the Ballroom community and transgender women of color. In 2020, during lockdown, we used the restraints of lockdown to build on that by showing a “kiki via zoom”. All of the cast were filmed in their own apartments using iPhones - and all production was done remotely and it was a bit of fun in a dark time.

We were hyper-aware of corporations’ rainbow washing, so in 2021 we were able to build more of an authentic storytelling aspect. We worked with long-time collaborator Rana Reeves to bring Dashaun Wesley, a leader in the Ballroom community and host of Legendary, and his story as the focus of our campaign.
